Music Video

This first export shows the early development of the start of our music video. This evidences how we want to further develop our music video, focusing on performance shots mostly, with a few quirky, funny, bit of narrative added in. From this, it is obvious we need to improve the video during the introduction to the music, with more shots, and also an introduction to the artist.

Export 2 is a very small section of the video, however one that we feel both looks very good, and also conveys an effective tone of monotony. During this video, we also played around with how quick we wanted the film to be sped and, and this resulted in a speed that matched the music beat.

The ending of our music video was displayed in the third export. Here we used the quadruple split screen the emphasise the lyrics, following Andrew Goodwin's theory that states that music videos are simply an extension of the lyrics. However, we could further develop this idea by again splitting the screen and going into a 16 split. It is also possible that we could add transitions between the splits, however, we may have to see how good this will look, and decide then.

This is a very short export, displaying just one shot of our video. However, this is a shot we feel fits very well with the tone of the song, and also further incorporates a comedic aspect into our music video. As a result, we hope to include similar shots into our video.

Export 5 was exported to show how we’ve further developed the introduction to our music video. As seen we have added the short shot of the city graffiti, adding to the continued theme of city life throughout our video. As the beat starts the video switches from the graffiti to an establishing shot. However, we still feel like this could be further evolved to include reference to our artist still.

The last development export contained two shots which we thought were very effective. This first one was the pigeon running towards the camera, which worked to extended and emphasise the comedic aspect. The second was the slow motion accompnying lyrics "round and round". This was an good example of teh use of Goodwin's theory in our music video.
